Legal Executive (Ref: 2300012D)
Responsibilities
- Handle different types of civil claims, including collating information and evidence, liaising with parties and interviewing witnesses, preparing pleadings and statements, evaluating merits of the claims, making appropriate recommendations as to the further conduct, negotiation and settlement of such claims and attending hearings (including trials) of the Small Claims Tribunal as representative of the Corporation to defend claims and conduct trials
- Handle claims/legal actions arising in association with the Corporation’s property investment portfolio including arrears recovery and Deed of Mutual Covenant enforcement actions
- Assist in handling objections and appeals against rent and rates assessment by Government
- Assist in handling internal investigations and such other contentious matters as may be assigned from time to time
- Provide general legal support to the department, conduct legal researches and liaise with internal parties and external lawyers as and when required

Requirements
- Degree in Legal Studies or a related discipline
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in contentious legal work
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
